The cookies we use

Name
Type
Duration
Purpose
kk_session
Essential
Session
Keeps you signed in across pages and protects you from CSRF attacks. Without this, you could not commit funds to a pool.
kk_pool_state
Essential
30 days
Remembers which pools you're tracking so you can return to a route without re-signing in. Stored locally; never sent to third parties.
kk_consent
Essential
12 months
Records your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on every visit. We need to remember that you said no.
kk_lang
Preference
12 months
Remembers your selected language for the next visit.
kk_analytics_id
Analytics
12 months
Anonymized identifier used by our privacy-preserving analytics tool to count unique visits without tracking individuals across sites. Set only if you've accepted analytics.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves to your device. They let the site remember things like whether you're signed in, what language you prefer, and which pools you're following. KooKoo uses a small, deliberate set of cookies — every one is listed below.

2. The categories we use

Essential cookies make the platform work — without them you cannot sign in, commit funds, or track a pool. Preference cookies remember UI choices like language. Analytics cookies count unique visits in a privacy-preserving way and are only set if you accept them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Third-party cookies

When you book a call or check out, our payment processor (Stripe) and our scheduling tool may set their own cookies inside their embedded interfaces. These are governed by the third party's own policy. We choose vendors that meet KooKoo's privacy standards and never share your account data with them beyond what's needed for the transaction.

4. Your choices

You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time using the consent banner shown on your first visit, or by clearing kk_consent and refreshing. Essential cookies cannot be turned off — without them, the platform does not function. You can also block all cookies in your browser, but core flows (sign-in, pool participation) will not work.

5. How long cookies are stored

Each cookie's duration is shown in the table below. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after their stated duration, or when you clear them manually.

6. Updates to this policy

We update this Cookies policy when we add, remove, or change any cookie. The current cookie list and last-updated date are always shown at the top of this page. Material changes are also communicated to active users by email.
